The project applicant, The Salvation Army, is seeking entitlement to develop the proposed project site as the Kroc Community Center, a multipurpose facility that would provide programs and services for children, adults, senior citizens, and families. Components of the proposed community center would include a 84,171-square-foot recreation and gymnasium center, an administration and education building, a chapel and auditorium, an aquatics center and pool plaza, four acres of playing fields, and outdoor recreation and amphitheater areas.
