Document Description
The proposed project involves two components. The first is a batch plant for manufacture of ready mix concrete. The batch plant is a replacement for the existing Robertson's batch plant on Day Street in the City of Moreno Valley and proposes both central mixer (wet) and traditional transit-mix (dry) plants. Proposed batch plant site improvements include silos, a central mixer, aggregate bins, conveyors, a two-story office building, an underground diesel storage tank, on-site circulation and parking, and a detention/infiltration basin. A three-sided concrete tilt-up structure resembling nearby warehouse buildings will contain on-site aggregate and sand storage.
The self-storage facility proposes approximately 690 units in seven, one and two story buildings (approximately 99,000 square feet total building area) with an office and caretaker's residence. This aspect of the proposed project is designed as an integral aspect of the overall site design, and is intended to screen the batch plant.
