Document Description
This proposed project involves the restoration of upland habitat and the creation of seasonal wetlands as part of the Alton South Conservation Bank. The Project will create 1.54 acres of seasonal wetlands, consisting of vernal pools and swales, and restore upland habitat by removing non-native eucalyptus trees within 8.38 acres of the Alton South Conservation Bank.
The project will result in impacts to 6 acres of CA tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) habitat including temporary impacts to 4.46 acres; and permanent impacts to 1.54 acres of CA tiger salamander habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of CA tiger salamander, which is/are designated as a threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
