Document Description
SWRCB is a Responsible Agency for this project. The SWRCB Safe Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Program is providing funds for the project. The LADWP propose sot replace the Elysian Reservoir with a new buried concrete-covered reservoir. Other than manholes, hatches providing access to the interior of the buried reservoir, above ground vent structures, above ground electrical cabinets, and similar appurtenant facilities, water storage and distribution facilities would be essentially concealed underground after completion of construction. However, a paved road would still be required around the perimeter of the buried reservoir to provide vehicle access for maintenance and operations of the reservoir. This road would also serve as a maintenance access road for the park facilities, but would not be open to private vehicles.
