Document Description
The applicant is requesting: (a) amend the Kern County General Plan from Map Code 8.2/2.4 (Resource Agriculture - 20 acre minimum/Steep Slope) to Map Code 5.7 (Minimum 5 gross acres/dwelling unit); (b) a change in zone classification from E (2 1/2) RS (Estate-2 1/2 acre Min./Residential Suburban) to E (5) RS (Estate-5 acre Min./Residential Suburban); and (c) approval of Tentative Parcel Map 11375. The applicant is seeking approval to subdivide four residential parcels and a designated remainder. The residential parcels would range in size from 6 to 8 acres while the designated remainder parcel would encompass approximately 8.5 acres. As proposed water and sewage disposal for the four residential parcels would be supplied by individual wells and septic systems, respectively. Water supply and sewage disposal for the designated remainder would be by an existing metered connection to the Grand Oaks Water Company and individual septic system, respectively. Internal access within the project boundaries would be by a 60-foot wide local street. Access to the parent parcel would continue to be via a 60-foot wide public roadway easement off of Old Town Road, which is designated as a Collector Alignment by the Circulation Element of the Kern County General Plan.
