Document Description
This project proposes to create a fuel break on forest land. This project site is a continuation of activities performed during the 2006 and 2007 seasons on a 25 acre portion of the property with effective fuel reduction results. The project will use hand crews, chippers and Bobcat 341 C series Exacator and or related size Masticator to clear vegetation on a major trending ridge on ~100 acres. Brush and trees of less than 8" DBH shall be removed. Cut material shall either be chipped or in some cases piled and burned.

Reasons for Exemption
The project site was reviewed by DFG, and the treatment proposed shall not have any impact on sensitive plant species; birds of prey; other listed species, and wildlife habitat. A Cal Fire Archaeologist reviewed the project area and the treatment proposed shall not have any impact on cultural resources. Burning will only be done on approved air quality burn days.
