Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Statutory Exemption
Type, Section or Code
15061; Cat Ex: 15301, 15303
Reasons for Exemption
Amending the Tobacco Ordinance was found by the City Council to meet the definition of the "General Rule," because limited tobacco sales in Oakland will have no effect on the environment. In addition, the amendments are also categorically exempt because the new regulations affect only existing facilities and small structures.
