Document Description
The project involves the installation of: 1) small diversion dam (30' x 3'); 2) 10,000 gallon storage tank and 1,500 gallon drinker; and 3) 6" ABS pipeline at 6 sites. The dams will divert portions of the water within the wash to the drinker and tank. The tank and drinker will be buried with an exposed opening (4' x 8') to the drinker. 200' of pipe will be used to connect the dams to the tank and driver. Temporary footprint impacts is 2.2 acres. Permanent footprint is less than 0.10 acre.

Construction of dam and installation of tank and drinker will have minor alterations to the land. Project does not exceed 5 acres in size and will improve wildlife habitat. Portion of project will benefit wildlife now excluded from Coachella Canal by fencing. Project will have no significant impact on endangered, rare, or threatened species or their habitat.
