Use a 4" diameter hand auger at the bottom of each excavation pit to access soil profiles another 40" in depth. Refill each auger hole and excavation pit once testing is completed. The purpose of testing is to evaluate subsurface soil composition and identify areas of potential resource sensitivity in preparation for a proposed accessibility project.
