Document Description
The project involves approval of a Remedial Action Workplan (RAW) by DTSC pursuant to Health & Safety Code Chapter 6.8, as submitted on February 14, 2008 by Modesto City Schools. As a result of previous onsite agricultural activities, the following chemicals of concern have been identified: arsenic, 4,4'-DDE, 4,4'DDT, dieldrin and toxaphene in surface soils within the barn area; and gasoline-related compounds including gasoline-range total petroleum hydrocarbons (THP gas), benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylenes (BTEX) in soil, soil vapor, and groundwater near two former underground storage tanks.
