Attendant events, not subject to the proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) and permitted separately, include a parade through city streets and a fireworks display over the Crescent City Harbor. The main events subject to and addressed by the use permit and the MND are the Deck Party, which occurs the afternoon and early evening of July 3rd, and the day-long events on the 4th that occur within the park and along adjacent Front Street.
