Document Description
SMUD proposes to modify the operation of the UARP as described and analyzed in the FEIS/EIR by amending the SWRCB's Water Quality Certificate, which would delay increased minimum instream flows below Slab Creek Reservoir and change the Conditions under which a temporary modification to reservoir levels can be approved. The proposed modifications to SWRCB Condition 1K would extend the timeframe by 2 years for SMUD to complete facility modifications that will allow SMUD to release higher minimum instream flows below Slab Creek Reservoir. The proposed modification to Condition 5H would give the SWRCB the ability to approve temporary modifications to minimum reservoir levels for non-emergency purposes.
