Document Description
The project is limited to the construction of two culverts along approximately 4.6 miles of a bike trail near the shore of the Union Valley Reservoir between Wolf Creek Campground and West Point Campground. An open-bottom aluminum arch culvert (span of 24 feet and 22.5 feet long) will be used to accommodate the trail crossing at a perennial stream. Construction of the culverts will require the removal of two lodgepole pines (Pinus contorta ssp. murrayana), one 10 inches diameter at breast height (dbh), and one 17 inches dbh. A 27- foot long, 18-inch-wide corrugated metal pipe culvert will be installed in the channel of intermittent stream (IS- 1) to the west of the Wolf Creek Group Campground. This will include installation of an inlet/outlet rock transitions (up to 6 inches deep) measuring 10 feet long (extending out from the culvert) by 12 feet wide at the inlet and outlet of the culvert.
