The primary purpose of WSMP 2040 is currently being prepared and will present water demand projections through 2040, as well as alternative solutions to meet those projected demands. The WSMP PEIR will evaluate the environmental impacts of these alternative portfolios, which include water conservation measures, recycled water projects, supplemental water supplies, and various levels of rationing that could be implemented during drought periods.
