Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board), as the responsible agency, will be issuing a water supply permit. The City of Madera will drill a 480-foot deep, 1,200-gallon per minute well and install a pump. A pump house will be constructed around the well and pump. An 8-foot tall, 96 foot2 chlorination building will also be constructed to house a chlorination system and brine tank. Granulated activated filtration tanks may also be installed, as needed. Electrical panels, an emergency generator, bollards, a drop inlet, and a 6-foot tall wall with barbed wire, and gates will also be installed. Associated piping, including 300 feet of water main, will be laid. Landscaping and lighting will also be installed. The additions to the city's water system will provide approximately 33,800 gallons per day of water for a commercial development that will construct a restaurant, hotel, travel stop tire shop, and RV and boat storage on 24.5 acres of land.
