Road improvements include the removal of 15 non-native eucalyptus and 52 native coast live oak trees to accommodate the shoulder improvements; rehabilitation of the existing roadway; pavement of four-foot roadway shoulders; pavement of side road segments to provide transitional approaches from the improved roadway surface to existing driveways; replacement of existing unlined drainages with storm drain pipes under the shoulder, replacement of existing utility poles; installation of thermoplastic markings and vibrational treatment along the road shoulders, incorporation of a centerline rumble strip; and installation of reflectorized signage in advance of curves.
