Document Description
The California Department of Parks and Recreation (CDPR) proposes to make interim-use improvements to a portion of Carpinteria State Beach located at the northwest corner of the Park between Palm and Linden Avenues. This property was acquired in 2000 and is not currently included in the 1979 Carpinteria State Beach General Plan. It is anticipated that a General Plan Amendment for this area and several other areas in the Park will be prepared subsequent to this project. The project proposes to: - Construct a children's interpretive play area, - Construct a new trail, and - Enlarge and improve an existing drainage area by creating a bioswale. The project will be funded and implemented by the City of Carpinteria through expansion of their existing operating agreement with CDPR.
