Document Description
Geologic exploration will include the drilling of about 10 drill holes and excavating about 30 test pits to gather information necessary for planning and design for the proposed Crafton Hills Reservoir Enlargement Project. Drilling will be conducted with a truck-mounted and/or track-mounted drill rigs to depths of a minimum of about 100 feet and a maximum of about 150 feet. Test pits will be excavated at the dam and reservoir sites, proposed borrow sites and at the Yucaipa connection pipeline with a tracked hoe excavator to a maximum depth of about 20 feet taking bag soil samples every few feet or wherever a change in material occurs.
