An emergency project to remove and replace approximately 400 portland concrete cement (PCC) slabs on the four highway segments listed. The purpose of the project is to prevent unsafe conditions for the traveling motorist. A Caltrans Director's Order authorizing emergency funding for this project pursuant to Section 10122(a) of the Public Contract Code - Failure of Threat of Failure of Transportation Facility - was approved on April 8, 2008.
