Document Description
LADWP will be performing emergency work along the Owens River as a result of the extensive Bluff Fire in March 2008. The fire burned approximately 1,100 acres along the corridor of the Middle Owens River, an area that is used for cattle grazing and recreational use. This fire impacted habitat for several threatened and endangered wildlife and plant species, including the Southwestern Willow Flycatcher, Least Bell's Vireo, Swainson's Hawk, Yellow-billed cuckoo, and the Owens Valley Checkerbloom.
