Document Description
The project is removing Arundo donax, an invasive bamboo which invades the walkways, causing flooding, fire hazard while also jeapordizing ecosystem health and function. Since Arundo consumes approximately three times as much water as ntaive riparian vegetation, its removal and replacement with native species will result in a significant increase in the quantity of water flowing in the River and reduced salinity, thereby improving water quality.
