Document Description
The project proposes to convert the existing Milpitas Library building into the Milpitas Senior Center after the construction of the new Milpitas Library building is completed. The project involves building renovation and remodeling to accommodate the new use, as well as to comply with ADA and current building code standards. In addition to renovating the existing Library building, the project would also expand the 18,500 square foot building to 22,000 square feet to accommodate future space needs associated with the City's predicted increase in senior citizens. The project also proposes several site plan improvements (increased access to outside site features, connections between the Community Center and the new Senior Center, improved circulation, enhanced building access and presentation, and new landscaping).
