Document Description
The applicant is requeseting Use Permit and Reclamation Plan approval to establish a new surface mining operation, which would consist of extracting, processing, stockpiling and exporting approximately 23,000 tons of sand and gravel from historic tailing stockpiles. Reclamation of the disturbed surface mining area would include returning waste-rock and overburden from the underground utility construction project to the mining area to re-distribute into the resultant excavations. The disturbed areas would be re-contoured resulting in a level surface to be utilized as open space for future permitted uses.
