Novato Creek is located in the central portion of the City of Novato; it is the City's main stormwater conveyance facility. The project's goal is to restore 50-year frequency flood control capacity by removing accumulated silt. An estimated 70,000 cubic yards of accumulated silt will be removed from the creek beds of Novato Creek, Warner Creek, and Arroyo Avichi Creek. The dredged material will be transported by truck to an offsite disposal location via U.S. Highway 101. The project will occur between June 2008 and September 2008.
