Document Description
On 12/07/15, the UC approved three ground leases to facilitate development on University-owned property following the City of Albany's decision to approve the Planned Unit Development Designation, Bonus Density and Rezoning. This action is part of the University Village at San Pablo Avenue project for which a final EIR was adopted and certified on 7/9/12 and EIR Addendum #1 was prepared on 5/6/13. With respect to this development, the City of Albany is acting as the lead agency, while the University is acting as a responsible agency under CEQA. The University has considered the Final EIR Addendum #1 and finds that all potential environmental effects of the project and a reasonable range of alternatives to the project as proposed were adequately evaluated in the Final EIR and EIR Addendum #1 and that no further environmental review pursuant to CEQA section 21166 and CEQA Guidelines section 15162 is required. The University further finds that no additional mitigation measures, beyond those already incorporated into the project through the Final EIR and EIR Addendum #1, are necessary or available to address the environmental impacts of the project that the University has approved.
