Document Description
The application includes a Development Plan for a 59,600 square foot, 112-room hotel with a free-standing restaurant of approximately 6,000 square feet proposed on a vacant parcel located at the northeast corner of Storke Road and Hollister Avenue. The project site occupies an area of 3.05 acres (6800 Block Cortona Drive) adjacent to an existing business center at 6868 Cortona Drive to the north. The project includes a conjunctive parking and shared access agreement with the neigbhoring property for the purpose of accommodating peak demand on weekends and holidays. The project also includes a General Plan Amendment to change Land Use Element Table 2-3, and an Ordinance Amendment to create a Hotel Overlay designation for the parcel and a rezone of the property to institute a base zoning of Professional Institutional, consistent with the current Office and Institutional land use designation in the General Plan. The property is presently zoned M-RP (Industrial Research Park).
