Document Description
The City is considering the construction and operation of a Groundwater Treatment Facility in the vicinity of Wells A and B to remove TDS, chloride, iron, and manganese from groundwater produced by these and future well(s), and reduce reliance on imported water. A maximum of 3 acres would be needed for the Groundwater Treatment Facility and brackish groundwater well(s). All treatment facilities and controls would be housed in a single stucco-coated masonry building (about 200 feet by 70 feet), with gabled roof covered with clay tiles. The emergency generator would be housed in a separate enclosure. A small flow equalization basin (about 1,600 square feet) would be provided immediately adjacent to the structure. Brackish groundwater wells and associated facilities would be located adjacent to the treatment components.
