Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement no. 1600-2015-0082-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code to the project applicant, Craig Murray with the Carpinteria Sanitary District. The project entails re-routing an existing sewer main line, owned by the Carpinteria Sanitary District, approximately 120 ft north from its existing location to move it out of the way of the larger proposed Caltrans Linden Avenue and Casitas Pass Interchanges Project located in the same area. The new sewer main line will be installed using a horizontal directional drilling method. A frac-out plan has been developed and will be followed in the event of a frac-out. If there is water present at the time of construction, Carpinteria Creek will be dewatered using a cofferdam to avoid complications from a frac-out. If a water diversion becomes necessary, the project proposes to impact no more than 0.095 acre of riparian habitat within Carpinteria Creek to install and operate the diversion. Should this occur, a revegetation/restoration plan will be submitted and implemented upon CDFW approval.
