Document Description
Lazer Broadcasting Corporation is proposing the construction and operation of a new FM radio broadcast facility to include a 43-ft tall monopole with attached antenna, a 10-ft by 10-ft single story (nine ft tall) equipment building, and a single 10 ft by 20 ft parking space/turnaround area on a 38.12 acre site. The project is located near Wildwood Canyon and Oak Glen Roads, west of Pisgah Peak Road in an unincorporated area of San Bernardino County. The project also includes a 30-ft radius fuel modification area on the perimeter of the monopole and equipment building, security fencing on the perimeter of the monopole and equipment building, and installation of approximately 650 lineal feet of underground conduit for radio transmission lines between the monopole and the equipment building. Off site, the proposed project includes the extension of electric lines and utility underground for approximately 6,700 in Pisgah Peak Road. The monopole would be fire preventative as it is proposed to be constructed of treated wood. The proposed antenna would be attached to the site of the monopole and would begin approximately midway up the pole (about 21.5 ft above the ground) to within one-ft below the top of the pole. The antenna would extend approximately 4.5 ft out from the side of the pole and would have an overall length of 21 ft. Based on Federal Aviation Administration and FCC guidelines, the proposed monopole and attached antennas would not require lighting or the application of red/white striped paint.
