Document Description
Continued operation of a SMARA-vested sand and gravel mine that has been in operation since the 1950s. Up to 35,000 cubic yards of material are extracted each year from below the ordinary high water mark of the Salinas River. The amount of aggregates excavated each year is dependent on market conditions and demand, and the replenishment of sand each year by river flows. Thus, the amount of material presented above is only an approximation of the actual amount of aggregates that could be mined in any year.
