Document Description
The Placer County Department of Facility Services, Parks Division (Placer County) is requesting $245,000 from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC) to reduce fuel loads in forested land in the Squaw Valley Park. The project will involve removal of the lower 4 - 5 feet of branches, which will create a break in the fuel ladder from the ground to the forest canopy and thus reduce the risk of catastrophic fires.
