The Sierra Foothill Conservancy is requesting $600,000 from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's Competitive Grants Program to be matched with ~$450,000 to purchase a conservation easement on the Bohna Ranch. The Bohna Ranch encompasses 840 acres of oak studded rolling foothills. It is an important conservation target because of its location within the Mariposa Stream Group Watershed, the natural habitat present on the ranch, and the interest of the landowner in continuing to work the ranch and steward the property.
