Friends of Deer Creek is requesting $44,467 in Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC) Strategic Opportunity Grant Program funding to implement the Mercury Bioavailability and Transport Project, which is a pilot project to determine the source and transformation of mercury below Lake Wildwood reservoir. Water quality data will be collected and analyzed; recommendations will be developed; and results will be disseminated.
