The Mariposa County Resource Conservation District is requesting $48,798 from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's Strategic Opportunity Grants Program to create an interpretive demonstration garden of Sierra Nevada foothill native plants, which will be available for public use at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds. The native plant demonstration garden will serve to educate the public about the benefits of native plants in home landscaping; water and soil conservation, and wildlife values.
