This project is a post-closure permit renewal which addresses ongoing activities including maintenance of three closed surface impoundment caps, corrective action, and goundwater monitoring. A closure plan for the waste water treatment system (WWTS) is incorporated in the post-closure permit because the unit no longer treats Resource Conservation and Recovery Act hazardous waste and is operated under a Permit By Rule (PBR) with Riverside County. The WWTS is planned to be in operation under PBR for the life of the facility.
