The County of Siskiyou and partnering cities in the county are applying to the California Department of Housing and Community Development for redesignation and expansion of the local enterprise zone to provide economic development incentives (through the California Enterprise Zone program) and support retention and expansion of existing businesses and to help attract new businesses. The establishment of the new enterprise zone will not entitle any new projects or include any land development proposals.
