Document Description
The proposed project entails streetscape and bicycle infrastructure improvements along an approximately one-mile portion of Cesar Chavez Street from Guerrero Street on the west to Hampshire Street on the east. The project entails removing one vehicular travel lane in each direction (from three to two) and creating five-foot-wide Class II bicycle lanes in each direction adjacent to on-street parking aisles. A new landscaped median, ranging in width from 10 to 12 feet, would be installed within the roadbed's center. Corner bulbouts, additional greening, and stormwater capture enhancements are also proposed within the right-of-way.
