Document Description
The project is an update of the Housing Element of the City's General Plan. The existing Housing Element and Housing Element Background Report would be replaced with the revised element and background report. As established by State law (Government Code 65588(a)) the primary purpose of this update is threefold: (1) to evaluate and make changes as appropriate to the City's housing goals and policies in order to remain consistent with and help attain State housing goals; (2) to evaluate the effectiveness of the Housing Element over that prior planning period (2002 through 2007); and (3) to evaluate the progress of the City in implementation of the Housing Element.
