The Office of State Planning (OSP) in the Division of Transportation Planning (DOTP) and the Office of Federal Transportation Management Programs in the Division of Transportation Programming at Caltrans developed the Public Participation (PPP) which describes the public involvement process Caltrans intends to follow in the development of the California Transportation Plan (CTP) and the Federal Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (FSTIP). The objective of the PPP is to meet new requirements of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU). We are asking the Public and stakeholders to review and comment by May 1, 2008 (45 days).
