Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2014-0170-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Westwood Communities. The Project is limited to the alteration of Brown Barranca (Barranca) in the construction of the Parklands Development Project, which consists of the construction of approx. 499 residential units and several park spaces within a 66.7 acre site. A 1,742-foot segment of the Barranca crosses through the northeast portion of the development site. The project is located within existing agricultural lands that are surrounded by residential and commercial areas. Construction of the development will be completed in four separate phases. The majority of the work in the Barranca and within CDFW jurisdiction (including both permanent and temporarily disturbed area) will take place during Phase 2. Areas of the Barranca that will be temporarily disturbed due to construction activities are estimated to be 0.87 acre and permanent impact areas are calculated to be 1.22 acres. In general, approx. 488 linear feet of the Barranca will be permanently impacted due to the construction of: 1) the Telegraph Road Culvert Extension, 2) a Pedestrian Bridge, 3) the Carlos Street Culvert, 4) the Citrus Drive Culvert Extension, and 5) a Linear Park.
