Document Description
The amendment makes three specific changes to the ITP as originally issued: 1) for phase 1, it increases the max acreage to be disturbed by the 9 acres needed to finish this phase of the project, proportionally increases of the min habitat management (HM) lands preservation acreage, and correspondingly increases the min security funding; 2) for Phase 6, it reduces the max disturbance acreage by 9 acres, proportionally reduces the HM lands preservation acreage, and correspondingly decreases the min security funding for; and 3) edits language regarding the Performance Security to allow for a Performance Security to be provided for forthcoming Phases prior to the HM lands being secured for the preceding phase. The resulting impacts to the covered species, however, including the number of acres of habitat that will be lost, as a result of the project, will remain the same. The project will permanently remove 286.1 acres of California tiger salamander habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of CTS which is/are designated as a threatened species under the CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of project implementation.
