Document Description
The project involves the construction of residential and mixed commercial/residential use within a 292-acre (ac) development enveloped into a maximum of 1,092 new single or multiple dwelling units; a pocket of mixed use expansion development; neighborhood commercial development; one neighborhood school; two stormwater detention basins; parks and greens pace planting strips; a right-of-way (ROW) widening along the eastern edge of Fairview Road and other street improvements along Hillcrest and Sunnyslope Roads; construction of a stormwater drainage system; and other associated utilities and access to serve all phases of the development. The project will permanently remove 286.1 acres of California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) (CTS) habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of CTS which is/are designated as a threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
