- Construct a new trail segment ~325' long of Bird Island Trail at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve to create an Americans with Disabilities compliant segment improving access to the China Cove and Bird Island areas. Trail construction will excavate up to ~3' deep and 5' wide using a small trail dozer and had tools; build landscape retaining walls up to 3' tall along the uphill slope of the trail; and install stabilized decomposed granite for the hardened trail surface using 2' foundation stakes to anchor the header boards.
