Document Description
Modify the Rancho Seco Power Plant wastewater treatment and disposal system by creating an artificial wetland that would provide additional wastewater treatment and create additional wastewater storage. The artificial wetland would be constructed in one of two existing, concrete-lined service spray basins (measuring 330 by 165 feet at the bottom) that were previously used for cooling non-radioactive water at the plant. Treated wastewater would flow through the wetland, to a storage cell, and then to 1.5 acre irrigation area.
