Document Description
In connection with approval of the project identified above, the SFPUC required compensatory habitat mitigation to address biological resources impacts that would result from implementation of the projects. Three habitat compensation sites, known as Homestead Pond, San Andreas Reservoir Wetlands, and Adobe Gulch Grasslands which are located within S.F. Peninsula Watershed lands that are owned by the City and County of San Francisco but managed by the SFPUC, will provide mitigation for certain of these impacts: On September 13, 2011, the SFPUC adopted Resolution No. 11-0156, authorizing the General Manager of the SFPUC to negotiate and enter into Water System Improvement Program (WSIP) funded Contract No. WD-2641R, Habitat Reserve Program, Homestead pond, San Andreas Reservoir Wetlands, and Adobo Gulch Grasslands, and upon successful negotiations, approve the plans and specifications for these three habitat compensation sites and award the contract.
