The objective of the proposed project/action is to ensure that MFWC is able to continue diverting water for agricultural irrigation in the future and prevent entrainment of listed fish species that are present near the diversion. The proposed project/action involves consolidation of the pumping facilities, construction of new improvements in two phases including construction of improved pump stations and conveyance pipelines, rehabilitation of the Main Canal and Grimes pipeline, and installation of new fish screen structures for the new water diversions to satisfy CDFG and NMFS design criteria.
