CDFW is intending to execute a Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (# 1600-2020-0126-R5) to the project applicant, City of Vista. The project consists of on-going maintenance activities at 42 facilities to remove debris, dirt, sediment, and vegetation to maintain adequate flow and flood control in stormwater channels. Channel maintenance activities may involve the use of hand tools, backhoes, dump trucks, excavators, mechanical pumps, and/or the use of smaller mechanical equipment. Proposed-activities at 35 of the maintenance sites are a continuation of maintenance that has recurred periodically since 2009 under the authorization of Streambed Alteration Agreement #1600-2008-0345-R5 that expired December 31, 2018. With this Agreement, 7 new sites are being added to the list of facilities for which recurring maintenance is authorized.
