At Wasco State Prison (WSP), CDCR is proposing to construct two new semi-autonomous facilities (one for reception and one for Level IV inmates) totaling 1,900 beds at maximum occupancy. Besides housing, the plans for the two new facilities include the construction of buildings for central administration services, facility program support services, healthcare, family visiting, academic and vocational training (including Prison Industry Authority facilities), and other miscellaneous support functions such as a kitchen, a warehouse, and assorted small buildings for storage and maintenance.
