The elementary school could serve approximately 1,184 students in kindergarten through grade 6 and is in response to the growing school-age population in the local community and to relieve overcrowding at other SBCUSD schools. In order to expand the existing school facility several residential developments, motels, retail stores, two churches, and a daycare center land uses will be removed.
