Note: Extended Note: Recirculated The MHSP will enable the City to implement new land use policies as contained in the MHSP intended to achieve the vision for the MHSP area. Overall, the land use plan included in the MHSP calls for approximately 117.4 acres to be devoted to residential uses, 16.35 acres of public and private parkland (passive and active) and publicly accessible trails (consisting of a 5.5-acre public park; 8.1 acres of trails, expanded walkways, and scenic promenade, a 1.5-acre private recreation center, and 1.25 acres of private neighborhood parks [0.25 acres per neighborhood]), 21.75 acres for streets and other right-of-way, 18.1 acres devoted to manufactured slopes (which includes the required fuel modification areas), and 314.6 acres of open space (including open space for preservation of habitat for the federally-designated threatened California gnatcatcher).
